No one saw this coming! When Melky Cabrera took to bat against the Texas Rangers on Friday night, he hit the game winning RBI for the Chicago White Sox.

LatinoAthlete.com got word that during Friday night’s game between the Chicago White Sox vs the Texas Rangers Melky Cabrera helped to win the game 8-7.

To recap how the night went:

The former New York Yankee 2005 amateur free agent has come a long way. Tonight, Melky capped a three-run ninth inning after he hit a two-run double against closer Matt Bush. The ball went speeding down the right-field line The game winning RBI made the White Sox victorious.

Cabrera hit a two-run double down the right-field line with Hanson diving headfirst across the plate for the winning run. Rangers catcher Jonathan Lucroy tried to make a swiping tag, but was unsuccessful.
