LatinoAthlete.com has received word that former baseball great Alex Rodriguez aka A-Rod was with Joe Dunand and members of his family on Monday.

Alex Rodriguez and the family posted a video of the exciting moment when his nephew’s name was called 51st overall by the Miami Marlins.

In 2014, Joe Dunand was also drafted by the Cleveland Indians, but he chose to play college ball instead. He ended up playing for NC State, where his stats were .287 with 18 home runs, and 51 RBIs in 2017.

Obviously, the MLB was watching the whole time he played in college and now his big moment happened this week.

Alex Rodriguez was there to celebrate the moment NC State SS Joe Dunand learned that he was drafted by the Miami Marlins.
